citydev.brussels (formerly SDRB) offers business location solutions and services for all companies, whatever their size: from craftsmen to industry, including start-ups, SMEs and VSEs.

In short

To support economic development and employment in the Brussels-Capital Region, Citydev uses studies and analyses to identify the specific needs of the various economic actors in Brussels, ranging from artisans and industry to the many SMEs and VSEs.

Based on this expertise, Citydev offers them location solutions and services tailored to their profile: industrial parks, science parks, parks for SMEs and VSEs, business buildings, incubators, FabLabs, and so on.

Services

Citydev.brussels' services are aimed at two audiences: businesses and individuals. The focus here is on companies.

citydev.brussels (formerly SDRB) provides housing solutions and services for companies of all sizes, from artisans to start-ups, SMEs and VSEs. It also builds housing for private individuals as part of urban renewal projects.

citydev.brussels offers a wide range of housing solutions for businesses:

  • in the 3 cityfabs (fablab): access to machines and some square metres for the duration of a project.
  • in temporary spaces: access to low-cost rental space for a period of 2 to 6 years
  • in SME and micro-companies business parks: access to workshops of 100m2 or more for the long term
  • in the case of emphyteutic lease: access to a building.
Who can benefit from these services?

citydev.brussels' mission is to establish and anchor industrial, semi-industrial, craft and service companies with high added value in the Brussels-Capital Region by offering them real estate infrastructure (land or buildings). This ranges from the occasional use of machinery to long-term rental, including the rent of a few square metres, the temporary occupation of workshops or long-term use of workshops.

Criteria for enjoying these services

Businesses wishing to set up on a citydev.brussels site must meet criteria relating to activity and employment. In line with the strategy of the Brussels Region and with a view to the shifting economy, a company's social and environmental exemplarity is also taken into account. 

Specific programmes or tools offered

Cityfabs are citydev.brussels' public digital studios in fablabs. They provide accommodation and support for your project for 6 weeks.
